Greetings citizens of the world. This is a message from Anonymous. Following the destruction of the Sydney Indymedia website by the New South Wales DEC, further attempts of censorship have been made by the DEC. The DEC have used their proxy to block access to the DET Gate and Carenne Gate blogs by creating a category solely for them. The New South Wales government is obviously concerned that students and teachers may stumble upon the sites and discover the truth about the education system in New South Wales which is in a complete shambles. Anonymous has long opposed the DE-Cs filtering, which not only applies when using a department internet connection at school but also when using it at home. Staff and students should have the freedom to use their own Internet connection how they wish. The list of sites blocked by the DEC is larger than that of the great firewall of China and includes sites with educational value but controversial content. The DEC does not want people to be educated and wants to suppress the truth. We are Anonymous. We are legion. United by one. Divided by zero. Expect us.
